Tami Sholar-Conard has over 12 years of nursing experience, including backgrounds in psychiatry and case management. Her passion for psychiatric nursing developed when serving her community as a hospice case manager. “I found many of my patients and their families did not have the support they needed to cope with life events.” The need for effective counseling medication management and advocacy was unmet within the population she served. During her time in the case management role, she was able to recognize the importance of developing a trusting client-provider relationship. Throughout her career, she has counseled clients and families in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, PTSD and more. Her focus is to provide personalized support to her clients, so they can achieve mental wellness and a better quality of life. Ms. Sholar-Conard received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis, TN. She is currently pursuing her MSN - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Walden University.
